About the Madison New Music Festival:

Started in 2016 by Juilliard-graduated composer and Madison native Zachary Green, the Madison New Music Festival aims to strengthen Madison’s cultural vitality through the celebration of contemporary works. The festival presents brand new pieces by the world’s leading and emerging composers, shares underplayed classics of the contemporary repertoire, and shines a spotlight on new music created here in Wisconsin. After a highly successful inaugural concert in August 2016 at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, the MNMF is expanding this year to feature four exciting concerts throughout the city of Madison over the weekend of Thursday, August 10- Saturday 12, 2017. The festival will feature over 15 different performers and ensembles, playing works by living composers from around the world, as well as from right here in Wisconsin-- all for ticket prices of just $10.
